We are looking for volunteers who want to increase their level of service in the community by taking on a position of responsibility that is usually reserved for residents or staff. The guest master is responsible for:

• Liaising with the leaders in a guest group.
• Meeting and greeting and arranging for hosts to take the participants to their rooms.
• Ensuring everything is clean and ready prior to the arrival of the group.
• Being available to answer questions that the group may have.
• Going through the Center guidelines with the group on the first night.
• knowing how to, and being available to light the heater pilot lights when they blow out.

The position is only suitable for those who already know the Center well in terms of the layout of the cabins and some of the basic facilities. The guest master must be comfortable in dealing with people and their requests. The guest master must be able to serve for the entire weekend, from Friday morning to Sunday afternoon. Regular volunteer credits apply for the position.
