Directions

Driving time from Los Angeles is approximately 2 1/2 hours without traffic. On Friday evenings the drive after 2:00pm can be hard. Plan to leave before this time to arrive by the 5:00pm registration time. Driving time from San Diego is approximately 2 hours. For a detailed map, please click here.

From Los Angeles:

120 Miles
Take Hwy 60 East to I-215 South.  Exit 215 at the Ramona Expressway.  Head east on the Ramona Expressway, approximately 22 miles, to its termination at Florida Ave. (Hwy 74).  Turn left on Hwy 74, heading east up into the mountains.  Stay on Hwy 74 for about 25 minutes. You will reach the town of Mountain Center. Go three miles past Mountain Center (still on Hwy 74) to Apple Canyon Road. Left onto Apple Canyon Road then go three miles. On Apple Canyon Road: follow road all the way to the end of the paved road. You will arrive at the Pine Springs Ranch entrance gate; directly to the right is the YZMC entrance road. Follow dirt road one mile to YZMC gate and parking lot.

From Orange County:

91 North to 60 East (See highlighted roads on Map).  Then as above.

From San Diego:

15 North to 79 South (The first exit before Temecula.) Take 371 East through Anza to 74; Left onto 74. Drive through Garner Valley, 400 yards after Lake Hemet Market, you will reach Apple Canyon Road, turn right onto Apple Canyon Road.  Then as above

From Palm Desert:

From 10 take Monterey Exit West. Monterey Avenue becomes 74. Take 74 up mountain, past 371 junction and through Garner Valley. 400 yards past Lake Hemet Market take a right onto Apple Canyon Road. Then as above.

From Arizona:

10 West to Palm Desert (Then follow Palm Desert directions).
